Items
Gridanian Berimbau | Constructed for the newly formed regiments of Bards amongst the God's Quiver; and having the consideration of an Elezen's wide arm span in mind, Odilon wields this abnormal instrument and weapon of war with great skill. |
Rosewood Lute | Always kept close at hand, it's Odilon's preferred instrument for weaving music. |
Golden Keyring | Hanging by the Duskwight's throat, upon an intricately goldlinked necklace, would be three keys. They appear to be ornamental, more than anything. |
Quaff of Feathers | Set upon Odilon's monochromatic cap is a quaff of distinct and vibrant feathers, dyed in pealescent whites and vibrant reds. Some of the feathers are distinctly Hannish Peacock plumes. |
Aether Compass | This three-needled aether compass sits firmly within Odilon's sash. |

Bonds
Wife - Having wronged her family in days past, Odilon and Faye had the bitterest of rivalries. But as time passed and countless trials endured, a love blossomed between the two that neither of which could have foreseen. They now strive to walk the many paths of the world together.
Musical Mentor - Odilon's mentor in the arts of the bard, Mogcutio perhaps outshines Odilon as the biggest ham in the room. Mogcutio now spends his days mooching off of Odilon, much to Odilon's chagrin.
Employer, Indebted To - The aloof and steely Rokuyo who employs Odilon at the Yielding Veil Holdings. With her considerable connections and wealth, she tracked Odilon down and bought out his service to the Twin Adders so that Odilon might put his talents to use. With far greater liberties available to him, Odilon dutifully serves the Y.V.H. and Mizutani.
Colleague - A fellow countryman of the Black Shroud, Esmond is a young blade Odilon finds no end of amusement in observing. While Esmond has certainly made clear of what he disapproves about Odilon, Odilon believes that the two may reach an understanding.
Colleague - A young woman Odilon encountered on one of his first few days of freedom. Happy that they never pressed Odilon on his past, Odilon was content to have her be just a work colleague. But as of late, he has found he has much more in common with the young pugilist than he originally thought. Now, in his own way, he wishes to help her through her trials.

I play on Mateus on the Crystal Data Center
My time zone is PST/GMT-7
Not interested in roleplaying with voidsents, void touched, Echo-blessed people, people from the First or other worlds; I prefer characters that are far more grounded.
Keep in mind that the behavior that my character exhibits is not the same thing that I exhibit. It's all in good fun, and no offense is intended
I have been roleplaying for several years, both in video games and in tabletop games, such as World of Warcraft, City of Heroes, Dungeons and Dragons, and Warhammer Fantasy.

Odilon Sauvagerlain was born within an abandoned Temple of Oschon within one of the few surviving caverns of Gelmorra, inhabited by scions of the servants to House Ak-Sava
Was the final child of Erart Sauvagerlain and Jehannette Sauvagerlain.
Elder siblings were Isabellis Sauvagerlain (6AE 1529), Aymon Sauvagerlain (6AE 1534), and Auburgis Sauvagerlain (6AE 1538)
From within the confines of the ruined Temple, family cultivated Mun-Tuy beans for their community
In 6AE 1557, Garlemald annexed Gyr Abania and pushed their hold into the Eastern Shroud; this resulted in the destruction of much of what remained of the cavern homes of the Scions of Ak-Sava and the death of Odilon's mother, Jehannette.
The Garleans were eventually driven back by the Gridanians and Elementals, allowing the scions to reclaim what remained of their home and rescue those trapped within.
The cavern eventually became polluted and blighted from the death, causing the deaths of many of the Duskwights, including Auburgis at 19 y/o.
In a need to man the militia of the clan, Aymon was rushed in his tutelage and gifted a longbow
In the years that followed, Odilon joined his brother and sister in their banditry ways.
In Odilon's youth, he would steal himself away into Gridania to spectate the orchestras and plays performed at the Mih-Khetto Amphitheatre
One of Odilon's first forrays, at the age of 21, was against a band of Ishgardian soldiers marching through the Black Shroud to re-enforce the Eorzean Alliance at Mor Dhona. The experience grieviously wounded Odilon, leaving a wicked scar that stretched along his face.
Whilst convalescing, he met Oihanna Cleaupiloux, a conjurer and herbalist of the clan. The two eventually married.
The nature of his highwaymen compatriots gradually rubbed off on Odilon, warping his personality in a way much to Oihanna's chagrin
Their relationship was strained, to the point where Oihanna broke away from Odilon. This broke Odilon's heart.
On a return trip for an excursion from the caverns, the Calamity occured. The destruction it wrought meant the certain decimation of his ancestral cavern home. Despite his efforts, he could not locate nor recover the remains of his ex-wife.
Odilon, with the advent of the Seventh Umbral Era, began to wander the lands, listless as to what he might do with himself.
When he arrived in Ul'dah and took note of the squallor of the Ala Mhigans, and what little the Ul'dahns did to aid their plight, Odilon had an epiphany: if he and his Duskwight were to remain nothing more than minor nuisances, neither Gridania or his own kin could resolve what plagued them.
Odilon returned to the Black Shroud and resolved himself to become the most infamous Highwayman within the Twelveswoods.
In his crusade against the Gridanians, Odilon befriended a moogle by the name of Mogcutio -- a moogle who would go on to teach Odilon the ways of the bard. He did so for, in spite of the viciousness Odilon would use, the man sought to break the bondage of oppression and free his people from fear.
He was eventually captured by Hugeaux Zhaviere of the Ninth Spears and imprisoned within a gaol.
Was sentenced to his imprisonment by the Hearer, Jerald of Quarrymill.
Odilon (Prisoner 17640) was eventually put on probation, forced to be an auxillary soldier in service to the Twin Adders, in the Eorzean Alliance's efforts to liberate Gyr Abania from Garlean forces.
Served under Second Lieutenant Roland Hathford. At the Battle for Ala Mhigo, Odilon was forced to kill him to preserve his own life.
Served alongside: Blaine (Highlander), Maryse, Beaumont, Rozanne, and Zime'tan (Keeper).
Lieutenant Hathford was often bribed and took on dirty jobs.
Some of those jobs were finding Ancient Skaellic ruins and ransacking them of artifacts to send back to clientelle.
Isabellis is alive, married to Keltrael (Roegadyn)
